While I (and probably most of the Chinese diaspora my generation) grew up watching TVB dramas, I have drifted away from them after discovering c-dramas as they have become very run-of-the-mill with type-casted actors/actresses. The last one I watched was A Fist Within Four Walls (2016) with Ruco Chan who I think is one of the better actors left in TVB’s stable.

Another busy week in the entertainment industry ^_^
Tribes and Empire: Storm of Prophecy aired November 21st. Starring Huang Xuan, Shawn Dou, Zhou Yiwei, Janice Man, and Xu Lu, this is a story of power struggle and prophecy (as the name suggests) between tribes. This is one of the dramas that I most look forward to! Super excited to catch the first few episodes. =D I’m gonna try to do a recap for this drama but…. (Fingers cross) 80 episodes scared me. It’s been awhile since I try watching a drama that long.

Hello~ Another lineup from another station. What I think people can take from this is the announcement of upcoming dramas (sequels included!) and perhaps get excited for the new year to come? 🙂
I tried to include MyDramaList links to show you guys the synopsis, cast, and other information since there are too many dramas to write it all out lol.
Alibaba’s Singles Days or Double 11 Sales is China is biggest shopping holiday. I would like to compare it to our Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day but the sales here are almost 10x that! We’re talking about $25. billion dollars in sales compared to ~2.2 billion dollars for Prime day! Shopping aside, the performance for this day is also a huge attraction! This year we’re seeing huge celebrities like Kris Wu, Liu Tao as well as international stars like Pharrel Williams and Jessie J in the performances!
Zhejiang TV rolled out a bunch of tv shows for their 2018 line up so let’s get started!
