[Review] Princess Silver (白发)

Rong Le is one lucky girl… She’s got not one or two, but THREE men who were head over heels in love with her. From the stoic and cold Zong Zheng Wu You, to the scheming and conniving Fu Chou, and then to the gentle and kind Rong Qi, all three were willing to put their lives on the line just to protect her!!!

Anyway, I’ve just finished watching the drama. Albeit, I didn’t watch it thoroughly, but it was enough to get a good idea of what happened and went on in the story.

[First Impression] Hello Debate Opponent (你好, 对方辩友)

When the drama came out, I wasn’t really interested in it because youth dramas are always a hit or miss for me. And also because I have no idea about the debating world (as it’s about debating). BUT I am so glad I decided to check this drama out because it is a hidden gem! I know many people don’t like seeing new faces because of the poor and stiff acting. But the new actors and actresses in this drama really bring out their characters. They’re all young, which is perfect for portraying young college students, and they’re doing a great acting. But that’s not the only thing that made me love this drama. What sold me is how realistic and relatable the storyline is to today’s youth. It’s not really a story about debating, even though that’s the core focus of it, but it’s rather about the growth and development of the university students. Pretty much, I think this drama is definitely one to check out!

[Review] L.O.R.D. Critical World (爵迹·临界天下)

Miraculously, I was able to find the ENTIRE drama online and I binged watched it over the weekend. I have to say that while the drama does follow the movie, it is not an exact replica of it though. For instance, Shen Yin’s role in the drama is much bigger than it is in the movie. Pretty much, she’s not really a side character, rather she is one of the main characters in the drama, which I had no problem with because I was fond of her. But, anyway, the drama is filled with tons of betrayals and backstabbing. I swear, I counted more than 10 times where someone backstabbed by another person and then vice versa. Like, its ridiculous how much these Dukes and Disciples turned on each other like nothing. Anyway, it was fun watching the drama and I enjoyed it, but there definitely some parts of it that I didn’t enjoy as well.

[First Impression] Prodigy Healer (青囊传)

This drama is truly something special. I’m totally smitten by Li Hong Yi and I adore Zhao Lu Si’s character. And I also love the fantasy elements added to help make the drama more unique. Not to mention, the OST for the drama has been on repeat for me for the last few days. So pretty much, I’m in love with this drama!!!!
