I am a bit divided on this year’s Tencent award show. I am happy that we got a lot of celebrities, but we also had a lot of redundant awards. I also felt like it could have used a fun host that could capitalize on the star power in the room. Instead, we had a lot of celebrities that were mostly tired and ready to leave. But I am happy to see one or two celebrities not needing to show up to accept their award, it is a sign of good things to come.
In the end, I did enjoy the celebrity galore, the red carpet, and the occasional interactions even if they were really rare. Loved the variety of dresses. Congrats to everyone!

Great outfits from the ladies and gentlemen. I love these Chinese awards posts for the clothes! As you said the awards handed out are mostly redundant but that seems to be an issue with most of the Chinese entertainment award shows.

I think YangMi was having the best time, out of everyone there. She kept making conversation and trying to enjoy herself. 😛

It is nice to see all the beautiful people. I love ZLY and YM dresses the best. So elegant and festive. Congrats to Liying for winning the annual tv drama awards this year. She totally deserved it. Congrats to all other winners too. Pity that Wu Yifan and Li Yi Feng, Liu Yi Fei and some others couldn’t attend. But I guess it is that period of the year where everybody are super busy with projects.

Well, I know Kris is busy that is why he passed on iQIYI yesterday even when he won. As for the rest, I don’t think they were offered any award. Like I said celebrities only show up if they are getting an award. But I would love to see everyone attend a big show one of these days.

Thank you for the list of winners! I could not find one anywhere online. I agree the amount of awards seems a little frivolous, but many of my favorites won. Xiatong definitely had the most beautiful dress!

Yeah, I feel the same way. I am glad a lot of my faves won but I feel like some awards were redundant. I just hope they keep improving award shows 😀
