[Feature] Tong LiYa

For readers that are currently watching “Nirvana in Fire II: The Wind Blows in ChangLin“, I though I might do a little feature about the actress Tong LiYa (who currently plays Meng QianXue in the drama aforementioned) since she is an actress hasn’t been in many films and dramas that are highly exposed to the overseas audience but is nonetheless successful.

Tong LiYa (Chinese: 佟丽娅) born on the 8th of August 1984 is a Chinese actress of Xibe (Sibe) descent.  She made her acting debut in 2006 with the role of a young “Li Zai Ai” in the drama “C’est La Vie, Mon Chéri“.

First Impressions: Nirvana in Fire 2 – The Wind Blows in Chang Lin



Was gonna write a post after the first 6 episodes but couldn’t find time so here we are up to episode 18 and happy to say – Still Loving It! It is not so much a sequel to the highly lauded Nirvana in Fire (“NiF”) -which I think is one of the best dramas ever- but rather a different story revolving around the descendants of the protagonists in NiF. A smart move, I should say, as it still has palpable ties for those of us who wanted more of NiF but yet able to stand alone as a separate story.

Entertainment Update: movies, dramas, and L’Officiel Fashion Night 2016

Statistics gathered from the 9 largest video sites showed that the 11 TV dramas Zhao Liying starred in exceeded 83 billion views! Journey of Flower has 24 billion views, Legend of Chusen has 22 billion views, Old Nine Gates has 11 billion views, Boss & Me has 6.7 billion views.

The Game Changer released its first poster [scroll some more :]. This film is the first of a trilogy (about the Shanghai Bund’s wildness). Through a series of stories, the worldview and game rules of Shanghai Bund’s gangs will be revealed. The movie version will be the center, there will be products in other areas i.e. comics, games, and online dramas. The online drama has already started filming! The production team of this film is American (from Hollywood) with the expectation that this movie will be released in North America. The Gamer Changer stars Huang Zitao, Peter Ho, Gulinazha, Wang Xueqi, and Choo Ja-hyun. The director is Gao Xixi whose last film was For Love or Money starring Liu Yifei and Rain.
