[Review] Princess Silver (白发)

Rong Le is one lucky girl… She’s got not one or two, but THREE men who were head over heels in love with her. From the stoic and cold Zong Zheng Wu You, to the scheming and conniving Fu Chou, and then to the gentle and kind Rong Qi, all three were willing to put their lives on the line just to protect her!!!

Anyway, I’ve just finished watching the drama. Albeit, I didn’t watch it thoroughly, but it was enough to get a good idea of what happened and went on in the story.

[First Impression] Princess Silver (白发)

I’ve never really watched any of Zhang Xue Ying’s dramas before nor have I paid any attention to her. But as I’m watching this drama, I’m really wondering why I haven’t been paying any attention to her! She’s a really good actress! Definitely not the best, of course, but compared to the other rising actresses that are in the same age group, she’s definitely more talented. And she’s doing a good job showcasing it in this drama!

Also, the drama is produced by actress Alina Zhang Meng! If you don’t know her, she’s the woman who portrayed Yan Da in Ice Fantasy and will also be starring in Your Home is My Business with Sun Li and Luo Jin. This is her first time as the producer of a drama.

[Movie review] L.O.R.D

l-o-r-d_legend_of_ravaging_dynasties_poster

This movie needs little introduction for those who have been following C-ent news.  Basically the director Guo Jingming adapted one of his books into a movie with a star-studded cast.  Here is the twist, instead of putting the actors into make up and costumes, they filmed in motion capture suits, making them needing their imagination as resource while they film their characters.  For those unfamiliar with the term motion capture, a few good Hollywood references would be Avatar, Beowulf and Davy Jones’ crew in Pirates of the Caribbean.
