[Recap] Untouchable Lovers Episode 9-12

Synopsis: (includes potential spoilers)

In 464, Liu Ziye ascended the throne becoming a brutal ruler of the Liu Song dynasty. A leading secret organization wants to overthrow Liu Ziye and they decide to replace his sister, Princess Shanyin, with their disciple, Zhu Que (Guan Xiao Tong). There she meets the princess’s companion Rong Zhi (Song Wei Long), who is actually a spy from Northern Wei. They grow closer but their opposing goals hold them back. During the rebellion Liu Ziye and the real princess are killed. Both RongZhi and Zhu Que lose their memories. Some time afterwards, Zhu Que is sent to their neighboring country, Northern Wei to marry the prince who turns out to be RongZhi.

Episode 9

Zhu Que let’s Xiao Daocheng and the 9th uncle on the carriage and helps them get out of the city. She tells them she isn’t on their side, but just doesn’t want the emperor killing more people. They arrive at the bottom of a mountain, the 9th uncle leaves and Xiao Daocheng follows Zhu Que and Rong Zhi yo the mountain to find Tian Si. At the top they not only find Tian Si but also Wang Yizhi. Zhu Que continues to persuade Tian Si, which he eventually agrees.

The next day Zhu Que enters the palace with Tian Si but before they even enter, they see the emperor shooting princess’s consort. Zhu Que leaves out of frustration and sees that the emperor is tormenting his 9th and 10th uncle. She gets frustrated again and goes back to the palace. This time she wants to persuade the emperor to kill his two uncles but he doesn’t, so Zhu Que instead ask general Shen which he agrees.

As Zhu Que heads back to her manor she finds out that something has happened to Wang Yizhi. She heads to his place to find that his cousin is kicking him out of the house leaving him with nothing. He tells her where he’ll be if she wants to find him, but by the time she gets there, there’s only a letter with a hidden meaning. The next day Zhu Que wakes up to find the letter missing and tries to look for it. Fen Dai warns her that she only has two days left but she brushes her off and leaves to the temple. Before she has a chance to see the monk, there was an assassin that came and tried to kill him. The assassin was Hua Chou in disguise ordered by Rong Zhi to warn Wang Yizhi who noticed something fishy about Rong Zhi.

Two days later as Zhu Que leaves Fen Dai warns her today is the last day. Before she can finish they see Rong Zhi at the door and Zhu Que leaves. On her way Zhu Que is kidnapped by Hejue who wants to use her to lure out Hua Chou. At this time Rong Zhi catches up to the carriage and Hejue leaves. Rong Zhi’s leg gets stuck and tries to anger Zhu Que so she can leave but fails. She refuses to leave want wants to stay with him. Before they fall down the cliff Rong Zhi cuts the ropes and manages to free his leg, grabs Zhu Que and jumps down the carriage.

Episode 10

Hejue returns once he notices that something was wrong. He wants to kill Rong Zhi, but Rong Zhi jumps down the hill, Zhu Que follows him. The two survive the fall but Rong Zhi is exhausted and takes a rest on Zhu Que. When he wakes up, Yue Jiefei finds them.

While Zhu Que is out the emperor coming looking for her. Fen Dai tries to poison him but fails, she then catches his attention by dancing and the emperor takes her back to the palace. Zhu Que returns to find her gone and rushes to the palace, but the guards send her out. He Ji (Chuyu’s husband) wants to kill Zhu Que but doesn’t get the chance to see her.

Zhu Que visits Rong Zhi to give him some medicine. He helps Mo Xiang ask for Fen Dai but she tells him Fen Dai entered the palace. Zhu Que blames herself but leaves after noticing she said something she shouldn’t. Back in the palace Fen Dai and another princess starts strangling the emperor, but fails to kill him.

Zhong Yue tries to put the blame on Zhu Que but he has no proof. They start torturing Fen Dai, Zhu Que takes over and hits her until she dies. Zhu Que leaves but collapse on her way out. Tian Si tries to comfort her but Zhu Que is determined to make things right. Mo Xiang visits his old master. Sending him news that he might be killed soon. He makes an agreement with him, if he helps him escape and get his status back, Mo Xiang will also get the highest job. Zhu Que visits her sect, wanting help.

Episode 11

Zhu Que asks for another chance to kill the emperor and he tells her he will let her know when time is right. Mo Xiang visits another general (Shen Youzhi) using money and power to persuade him to kill general Shen. The emperor refuses to see general Shen or kill his two uncles. Therefore he tries to do it himself, but fails. Shen Youzhi successfully poisons general Shen and kills him. Rong Zhi tells Zhu Que general Shen has died and they pay him a visit. They find out that there’s blood on general Shen and asks how he really died. Shen Youzhi tells them it was the emperors order and the two leaves. Zhu Que enters the palace and starts yelling at him. She runs away after he shows her a doll made of Fen Dai’s hair and bones.

The next morning Liusang drags Zhu Que outside to see a rock. They find Xiao Daocheng and Guan Canghai by the rock and Zhu Que starts to leave. Liusang accidentally says that Rong Zhi was the one that sent him to cheer her up. Xiao Daocheng tries to ask Guan Canghai for help but leaves after he refuses.

When they return He Ji escorts her to the palace with tons of guards. The emperor questions her about the fragrance she always carries with her and why she lied to him. He reveals that Tian Si was the one who told him and even Yue Jiefei also acknowledged it. The emperor locks her up in her manor. Before she leaves she has a talk with Tian Si.

He Ji uses this chance to control the princess’s manor. She tells him this is her manor so he has no right to control anything. She finds Yue Jiefei kneeling outside and tells him she doesn’t care who he is loyal to just get away from her. Zhu Que finds Rong Zhi and he tells her three paths she can take. Kill the emperor, blame Tian Si or run away. Huan Yuan tells Zhu Que to run away too, she tells both that she can’t go.

Episode 12

Rong Zhi faints after throwing up blood, Hua Cou barges into Zhu Que’s room to tell her. In order to cure Rong Zhi they need to head to Yingchuan, Zhu Que plans to sneak out. Mo Xiang arrives as night to give Rong Zhi a pill asking him why is he using this method to get the princess to leave. He tells him this is the only way. Zhu Que invites He Ji to dinner after putting the poison in the cups. (He Ji finds out what she did but tells the maid to switch the cups) Zhu Que faints and He Ji tries to strangle her but she wake up and He Ji collapses.

Zhu Que visits Rong Zhi while he is still asleep. She tells him she like him and that her real name is Zhu Que but she is also Liu Chuxiu. She gives him a kiss and leaves, he wakes up after she left. She tells Hua Cou to prepare everything so they can leave. At the same time the emperor wants Zhu Que to enter the palace to help him catch a ghost.

Zhu Que sends them out the city and returns back. He Ji escorts her to the palace, once she enters her sect member tells her to kill him tonight. The emperor tells Zhu Que not to be angry at him anymore and the ceremony begins. During the ceremony the guards start attacking he emperor and he runs away. Zhu Que finds him and aims at him.

iiangelx3: Hopefully ZQ kill him, the least she can do for Fen Dai. I was actually hoping that Fen Dai could kill him, but that fabric had to break. Anyways she confessed! \o/ I’m looking forward to the next time they meet. hehe.
