Yang Yang is confirmed as the lead for “The King’s Avatar”. It looks like Yang Yang is taking up another drama based in the gaming world but this time it appears more focused on the gaming side and less on romance if it follows the synthesis below:
In the multiplayer online game Glory, Ye Xiu is regarded as a textbook and a top-tier pro-player. However, due to a myriad reasons, he is kicked from the team. After leaving the pro scene, he finds work in an Internet Cafe as a manager. When Glory launches its tenth server, he throws himself in to the game once more. Possessing ten years of experience, the memories of his past, and an incomplete, self-made weapon, his return along the road to the summit begins!

“Here to Heart” revealed it’s two leads on the 14th of June, Huang XiaoMing and Janine Chang. The drama is an adaptation of the book, 温暖的弦 (Warm Chord) by AnNing. Synthesis:
This book tells a story about eternal love. This young and immature but profound love that even a cruel break up cannot change. They took a decade yet still cannot heal their injured hearts. New Drama alert! Starring Jelly Lin and Song WeiLong, “Beautiful Reborn Flower” is going to be adapted from the novel by Anni Baobei/Annie Baby. The book seemingly is about characters living in their own unique circle, their difficulties in integrating into the community, but never compromising and giving up, with Jelly Lin playing dual roles.

Yang Zi and Deng Lun‘s new drama “香蜜沉沉烬如霜/Fragrant honey like a frost /Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost” started filming. I wasn’t able to find the English title for this drama either.

“Our Time will Come” starring Zhou Xun, Wallace Huo and Eddie Peng, showcased a second trailer at the Shanghai Movie Festival.
“Brotherhood of Blades 2” starring Yang Mi also dropped their theme song MV, “Passionate as You”.
“Guilty of Mind” starring Li YiFeng, Regina wan and Liao Fan also released a new trailer at the Shanghai Movie Festival.

I love the king’s avatar anime & novel. I think YangYang is perfect choice. I cant’t wait to watch this and Martial Universe, both of main characters are shameless. LOL

Soooo many dramas/movies to pick from and Wu Chun?? haven’t heard that name in a long time and Tang Yan 🙂 looks so cute, remember when she was like a drama every month? I missed her 🙂 love the trailer for Flame’s Daughter(thought it had another name) it’s seductive (like a dance) but simple, peaceful, and dull all at once

I like the King’s Avatar anime, but I don’t think Yang Yang fits the role. I imagined an older kind of average looking guy, Yang Yang is too handsome lol
Legend of Dugu looks interesting. I am looking forward to this version more than the other one.

hahaha yea. When I was reading King’s avatar, I always picture a mature gloomy looking guy. Can’t really imagine YY as that for now. He might not fit as Ye Qiu but he might look cool as Ye Qiu’s in game character tho! XD

This is true. We will see how they change it and I hope they make him look more average outside of the game. He was not wowing anyone with his looks.

Animated series says Ye Xiu is 25 years old. Novel chapter 4 says the same. Animated series apparently follows the novel closely. He is not bubbly but he is an optimist. 25 may or may not look mature. Aging process may not be kind to him because he smokes, lives off junk food and sleeps irregularly.
Surely Yang Yang can be uglied up outside the game while looking pretty inside the game where most of the action happens.

Me too, I recently watched the anime recently and I imagine Ye Xiu to be an older, disgruntled guy, but it will be interesting to see how they do the game scenes as majority of the anime consisted of it.
